As the title suggests, life is a journey and not a destination.
Over the past few weeks my work life has been somewhat disrupted by events that have caused me some pain (emotional and financial). To cut a very long and boring story short I am no longer employed by the Company I have spent a decade of my life with. Of course, there is a story behind this - however not one I wish to delve into at this time!
My time with OpusVL has been a fantastic experience (overall), as it has given me valuable expereince in a variety of different areas. Namely, Open Source Software and its implimentation into customers Businesses. I have particularly enjoyed championing the Open Source route as I really believe in its value and ethos.
As one door closes (not quite closed all the way yet!) another will be open!
For a long time I have been guilty of concentrating on the closing door which has inevetibly distracted me from noticing any open ones! With that shallow approach behind me I have been proactive in my search for a new challenge.
I have been 'filling the financial gap' as best as I can and I am now enjoying the new experiences coming my way. Most importantly, I still watch my boy grow and blossom on a daily basis and can feel proud of our achievement as parents and his abilities and confidence.
I would like to leave you with a quote from one of my favoroute songs. I hope you can relate to this.
