2009

What does the new year hold?

Well I hope you all had a pleasant Christmas.
What will 2009 bring for you?
What are your plans for this coming year?

No doubt there will be some tears and some laughter, but do you actually have any real plans for yourself in work, career, love, or private life?

Time goes so quickly, I visited the graveyard just before xmas day and laid some wreaths for my Brother and Dad, its peaceful there...
It seems like yesterday i was talking with my Dad sat on the end of his bed.
My last conversation with him was about me taking him for a drink the next day at his local.. We never got to have that drink.

My point is, the new year has always been a great time to take stock of your life and make promises that are more often never kept or completed.
If you have a dream or an ambition that you have put off year after year then this is the year for you to shine. Get out there and get it done!
Me, i want 2009 to be the year I work hard towards a Diploma in photography, not because I want or expect to earn thousands of pounds in this trade - but because I want to have the knowledge to make decisions within this field that are based on fact.
I love to take pictures, so its an obvious choice

Remember,
Never fear the space between your dreams and reality...
If you can dream it - you can make it so.....

Go, have that drink......

I hope you all have a lovely new year....

Best Wishes

Hard work...

I never realised how difficult it would be to get Stuart(MD) to write a blog..

He has so much information in that head of his and I need to get it out onto a blog for all to see and wonder at!
I have asked him on numerous occasions to write a blog and he says "how can I write a blog with all this going on!"
He is currently working on a £200.0000 project to deliver a technology called TAP (which in his words is an old technology) which I have no idea about. But on speaking in more detail with him I can sort of understand the issues he is facing.
He is so busy with running the business and dealing with these projects that he can not seem to warrant spending half hour in front of the monitor to write a blog.
"Give me a subject or a real problem to write about and I will" he says, with this in mind I am asking you all for ideas or real scenarios that are causing issues or problems for you at this time. If I can take down all the barriers then I will have a better chance of getting this great mind onto the blog.

Some current ideas i have are:

  • Google Mail - without the T&C
A better option for easy/anywhere email storage that syncs with your calenders etc..
Do we sacrifice security for convenience?

  • Creative Collaboration On-line
  • Review of the G1 phone

There must be more topics that are of interest today, please get ya thinking caps on and get back to me with real issues/problems etc for this guy to breakdown and solve...

Twitter so far...

It has been a couple of weeks now since I joined the Twitter revolution..

How have I got on?

My first reaction to Twitter was "What the !! ", it took me a while to get the general idea and I suppose even now after 2 weeks I am still understanding the language and its uses. This is not a negative, the opposite in fact because normally if something had taken me that long to get used to it would of been dismissed as useless or no needed.

I have now made a few contacts on the site and I have even managed to get one person interested in something that I had Tweeted.
I am now at the stage where I am asking myself the question, Does being involved in the Social Network scene help my business? The answer to that i do not have at this time.
My own personal opinion is that I believe relationships are the key to generating revenue and therefore I have faith that I can offer my contacts advice, friendship and honesty and that one day they may remember this and a sale may happen....

Thanks again to @Documentally for the push...

If any of you have any ideas on how i can persuade my MD to write a Techy blog once a month please let me know.. I have to give him a business case for him to even consider it.
